Flywoo Explorer vs iFlight Chimera4 vs GEPRC Crocodile Baby - Micro Long Range Comparison

First is the Cinewhoop wave, now it is time for Micro Long Range wave!
Micro Long Range started from a project by Dave_C FPV who designed lots of awesome frames and open-sourced them! Thank you so much Dave_C FPV for such generosity to the FPV community, I really love his Sanchez Air for my 1S 3-inch build!
Anyway, his objective of Micro Long Range is to scale down a 7-inch long range quad until it is sub-250g AUW.
The first ready-to-fly Micro Long Range in the FPV market is a joint-collaboration between Flywoo and Dave_C FPV. Ever since Flywoo released their first Micro Long Range, the Explore LR, more FPV companies like iFlight and GEPRC have also jumped onto this bandwagon. Equipped with a pre-install GPS module, these RTF quads are all set, ready to rip out far away across the landscape.
Below are some of the things that I prefer to see in these RTF quads:
These quads should be shipped with INAV pre-configured! Wouldn’t be an INAV flight control system a more suitable firmware for the long-range build? Perhaps, BetaFlight is still the most popular firmware for FPV quads.
I personally prefer DJI FPV Air Unit Module over Caddx Vista for such a build so that I can record 1080p 60fps without the need to mount Insta360 GO or a naked GoPro.
Without further ado, here’s the comparison of the 1st three Micro Long Range RTFs that are currently in the market! Their specifications are almost the same and the following are some of the key differences:
Unlike the rest, Flywoo Explorer comes with a self-powered buzzer alarm with LED with makes quad retrieval so much easier. I strongly recommend installing such a module for your long range build.
Unlike the rest, iFlight Chimera4 can be used as a freestyle quad which makes it a more versatile quad. It has higher ESCs amp output plus thicker top & bottom plate plus default X-Geometry body which is ideal for freestyle. If you are planning to get it for pure long range, you can buy the additional deadcat bottom plate and convert your Chimera4 to deadcat configuration which is optimum for long range like the rest of the Micro Long Range designs.
Below are the technical specification comparisons. Check it out!
